Road to the 2017 Miami Muscle Beach Pro

Miami will be bringing the heat this weekend as Fit Life Productions will host the Miami International Fitness Expo and the 3rd annual Miami Muscle Beach Pro Saturday, June 10th. Only a few short days stand between the competitors and the stage at the Miami Muscle Beach Pro; and as the Olympia draws closer and closer, the packages these pro athletes bring to the stage only get better and better. The Miami Muscle Beach Pro is going to be a tough call for the judges, as this competition will showcase a large list of competitors that are in top-notch, mid-season form.

Matt Acton will be returning to Miami looking to claim 1st place for an incredible 3rd year in a row. Since the inauguration of the Miami Muscle Beach Pro, Acton has finished in the top spot in both 2015 and 2016. The former Olympian will undoubtedly draw attention in Miami, as he will try to defend his championship and claim another spot on the Olympia Stage.

While Acton is no stranger to tough competition in Miami, beating the likes of Ryan Terry (2nd place in the 2016 Olympia) in the past, he will have to beat Andre Ferguson in order to win this year. Ferguson is crushing any competition that comes his way this year, and will be seeking his 4th Pro win of the season on Saturday. Ferguson already has 1st place finishes at the Toronto Pro, NY Pro, and Hawaii Pro under his belt this season. It will be interesting to see if he can dethrone Acton, the 2x champ, and bring home an unbelievable 4th win before hitting the Olympia stage in September.

Luis Fernando Rios just recently won the Puerto Rico Pro last week, and is looking to carry his momentum into this weekend. Rios’ win in Puerto Rico ended Chase Savoie’s chances of a “three-peat”. The Olympia qualified competitor will have the chance to stop another three-peat from happening this weekend in Miami.

These are only three of the pro athletes that will be stepping on stage this Saturday. There are many more competitors that have the chance to grab the top spot and qualify for the Olympia. The Pro and Amateur show is set to begin at 10 a.m., with the IFBB Men’s Physique pros hitting the stage around 5 p.m. according to
